Hey Reader.
I'm the kind of person who gets an idea, gets really excited, and then just jumps into action. But... I'm not great on the follow through.
And that makes total sense, because a few years back I took one of the many personality tests out there that told me, yeah, you indeed are not great at follow through. Affirmed!
So how does this show up for me?
It looks like so. many. half done projects. Little piles of craft materials gathering dust. Digital lists that stop at #3 when I meant it to be a total of 10.
Part of this has to do with my neurodivergence. Starting stuff is FUN!!! But getting through to the end is... well, it's hard AF.
And so I often get to a place where the excitement is running out but there's soooo much left to do and the only way I can even possibly make it to the end is if there is someone (or a group of someones) holding me accountable. (Hi! I'm an Obliger!)
So I'm writing today because I'm a bit stuck. I've been grinding away over the past few months planning and producing the In This Body: Finding Liberation Virtual Conference and we're almost there!
But I need your help to make sure this event is as impactful as I know it can be: can you tell me where you get stuck when it comes to showing up for social justice initiatives?
Is it time? Energy? Capacity? Or is it something else?
I'm not interested in judging you, I only want to find out how I can help you do the things you actually want to do.
One of my goals for the Conference is to provide workshops, conversations, and community that really help folks take meaningful action, so anything you want to share would go a long way to helping me craft an event that will do just that.
We can each find a place in the journey toward creating a more just and equitable world... we just have to find ways to be less stuck and create more follow through.
Simply hit reply to this message and let me know what that stuck place is for you. I look forward to creating an event that can help you out.
Thanks for being here!
